When Apps Change…

I wrote this post on my website and wanted to share it with you MySlackerMind Visitors!

According to The iPhone Blog, this problem occured in the beta of the iPhone OS 3.0 (Beta 5, Last Beta) and was not fixed in the public realease. Many Devs had this problem during the beta stage and sent it to Apple, but was not fixed. I believe that there will be an iPhone OS 3.0.1 update VERY SOON! Some Developers said that the icon would be missing and completely white!If you had this problem, there are some troubleshoots below, but did Apple rush this? I remember Apple starting to allow summiting from Developers for the 3.0 in May! One Month before the realease! That is way to late and should have started this submit process back in April…

Side Note:

I just looked in my App Store updates and saw NYTIMES app [iTunes Link] (Today). When I got the Developer realease of the Final iPhone OS 3.o, about 30% of My Apps were having problems including the NYTIMES app. This was a week before the public realease of the iPhone OS 3.0… Apple should have waited to the end of July, because this put too much stress on Apple’s Devs for the App Store.

Troubleshoots if this has happended to you…

Go to the Applications Tab in iTunes and select all the ones that are not working and uncheck them. After that sync, resync them

Resync all your data and restore from back up

Re-Download them from the App Store
