Last night, MySlackerMind ran the following article: According to sources reporting to IGN, the long-awaited Team Ico game was formally laid to rest at an internal Sony meeting last week. The game, which was revealed at E3 2009 and originally slated for a 2011 release, has been an object of great speculation and hype for PlayStation fans. While details on the game have been incredibly scarce, many remained hopefully that it would be a highlight of this year’s…

The third-generation Pokémon remakes will feature Mega Evolutions for all starters. This means a brand new Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert (Mega Blaziken was already available in Pokémon X and Y for those who received the special event Torchic that was available for the first three months after the game’s release). New formes of Kyogre and Groudon have also been confirmed, although literal translations of the Japanese announcement refer to these as “Ancient Devolutions” rather than Mega Evolutions.

Fanboyism and You

It’s no shocker to say that people have been a bit opinionated in the new current gen console releases. One could easily drown in the posts on the subject on any platform ranging from twitter posts to YouTube comments. More often than not these “debates” end with harsh and silly dead set opinions on the matter. What you end up dealing with is what is known as “fan boys.” The term is normally used as…

Atlus Confirms E3 Lineup, No Persona 5

The recently Sega-acquired Atlus is still going strong after nearly closing down from bankruptcy, but will they deliver at E3? While the developer and publisher’s lineup isn’t weak (looks like we’ll hear about an as-yet unannounced title along with possibly our first substantial look at the previously teased EarthBound/Mother-inspired Citizens of Earth), fans will be remorse to know that the absurdly hyped Persona 5 will not be revealed at this year’s expo. Curious for a game that was recently…

Zelda 2 for Wii U Listed at Walmart

Zelda 2 for the Wii U has been listed on Walmart for a Q4 release date for $99.99, which is most likely a placeholder price. Is this the Zelda game that Nintendo fans have been waiting for? Or is it just another placement of false hope by Nintendo? Either way it looks like another Zelda will be coming out later this year, let’s just hope it isn’t just a revamp of an older one (unless…
